Spanish Tutor
Twenty five years ago, I lived in Central
America. Since then, I've worked with refugees and immigrants,
first as a social worker and later as a language instructor. I’ve visited Central
America many times and I've been speaking Spanish regularly for about
30 years.
As a trained and experienced language instructor, I can pick out the
component parts of a phrase and teach it in bite-sized pieces. I can explain
exactly how to make that difficult sound. As a musician, I can sing the
songs, accompanied by a guitar, so that we can practice songs more slowly
than on the CD. Come and have fun!
If you are
studying Spanish for a job or a trip, or just for your own knowledge, I can
help you with your specific issues and needs. Conversation, pronunciation,
grammar, and reading will be covered as needed.
Adults or motivated students only. Older adults welcome.

We will learn songs and through listening to them, learn
vocabulary, usage, pronunciation and grammar. Students have said this is a
very enjoyable way to learn a language! CD or cassette and lyrics sheets will
be provided.
The class level is high beginning to low intermediate, but
all are welcome.
